Liuhe Bafa

Liu He Ba Fa (six harmonies + eight methods) is the name for an nei-gong, 'internal' combat boxing of China. The current version is alleged similar to a 'water' method of the Song Dynasty (960-1279 n.Ch.) from the Taoist monk Chen Po (Chen XiYi). More probably however, this system begins in the last century as created by the combat art master Wu Yi Hui in Shanghai. This concept is more realistic because 'Liu He Ba Fa' contains elements of Bagua zhang, which were developed only for a long time after the Song dynasty. Under the name 'Liu He Ba Fa' exist different combat art forms, which have however the following characteristics together:

  1. it concerns an inside combat art
  2. it is elements from Taijiquan, Xingyiquan and Baguazhang contained
  3. (root -) the form consists of 66 figures and is divided into two parts
