Valdas Adamkus - former President of Lithuania.
- Algirdas Brazauskas - the first president of Lithuania after 1990
- Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis - famous painter and composer.
- Steponas Darius and Stasys Girenas - pilots. Made a significant flight in the history of world's aviation. On 15th July, 1933, they flew over the Atlantic Ocean, covering a distance of 3984 miles (6411 kilometres) without any landing in 37 hours, 11 minutes. As far as the distance of non-stop flights was concerned, their result ranked second after that of R.Boardman and J.Polan, and it ranked fourth in terms of duration of being in the sky at the time. Though Darius and Girenas had no navigation equipment and flew under unfavourable weather conditions, the flight made by the airmen was one of the most precise in all aviation history at that time and it equalled Charles Lindbergh's classic flight. - Sarunas Jasikevicius - basketball star with several European clubs, currently with Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
- Jurgis Kairys - aerobatic pilot, FAI World Grand Prix of Aviation FAIWGPA champion, famous of flight under 10 bridges in Vilnius. He also flew inverted under a bridge in Kaunas.
- Vytautas Landsbergis - the first head of state in Lithuania after declaration of its independence in 1990.
- Sarunas Marciulionis - former NBA player with several teams, used to play for the USSR.
- Rolandas Paksas - former President, removed after impeachment.
- Arvydas Sabonis - former NBA player with Portland Trail Blazers, used to play for the USSR.
- Antanas Smetona - The first president of Lithuania in 1919
- Elijah ben Solomon - the Gaon of Vilna
- Vilhelmas Storostas Vydūnas ? Prominent Lithuanian writer and philosopher, leader of Lithuanian cultural movement in Prussian Lithuania in the beg. of 20th century.
