"Let It Be" is a song written by Paul McCartney (but credited to Lennon-McCartney when released) and produced by the Beatles and released on the album Let It Be.
Although the song's lyrics are misinterpreted by some as being a hymn to Mary due to the lyrics, but in actual fact the song was written by McCartney not too long after the death of his mother, Mary, and is actually somewhat of a tribute to her.
