Landrum-Griffin Act



         


The Landrum-Griffin Act of 1959 restricted secondary boycotts, particularly labor union refusal to handle hot cargo, unfair union election practices, and picketing when a union was organizing. It essentially legalized purges of the leadership of leftist unions, such as IWW.
