La Polla Records (LPR) was the most radical Spanish band of punk-rock LPR was formed in 1979 in a small town called Agurain in Euskadi by Evaristo Paramos (vocals), Maleguin, Txarly and Sume. The name used to be somewhat controversial because in Spain "La Polla" means the male sex organ.
In 1981 they recorded an EP issued by Oihuka called "¿Y Ahora Qué?" ("So now what?") that had 4 songs. But in 1984 they release their first album called "Salve". The lyrics harshly criticized fascism ,capitalism and catholicism.
The following years they release "Revolución" (in this album Abel replaces Maleguin), "No Somos Nada", "En Directo" recorded live in Lakuntza, "Ellos dicen Mierda, nosotros Amén", "Los Jubilados", "Barman", "Negro" and "Hoy es el Futuro".
Then they launched another album Live, called "La Polla En tu recto". In 1999 they celebrated their 20th anniversary recording "Toda la Puta Vida Igual". Then was released "Bocas" and Txarly left the band, and Jokin from Los Muertos de Cristo joined the band.
In 2002 they were still playing when suddenly on September 22 Fernandito died of a heart attack. LPR cancelled all concerts of the tour. After the loss of the drummer they released their last album: "El ultimo (el) de la Polla".
After disbanded LPR, Evaristo Paramos (vocals) released a book named "Por los Hijos lo que sea" that contains many stories and some of them like songs that he never wanted to be released. All the stories are just like his songs: anarchist lyrics.
