Koga (InuYasha)

Kōga (鋼牙) is a character in the anime and manga series InuYasha.

Kōga is a wolf yōkai, and he is the leader of his tribe. After Kagura killed off members of his tribe, Kōga began a quest to kill her and Naraku, who ordered it. When adventuring, he is accompanied by two lieutenants from his tribe. In the manga, they are unnamed. In the anime, they are named Ginta and Hakkaku.

InuYasha and he hold a rivalry over Kagome Higurashi's affection. Kōga has been in love with her ever since he found out that she can see the shards of the Shikon no Tama. In the anime series, he is also betrothed to Ayame, of the northern wolf tribes (a character that does not exist in the manga version).

Name

• Kōga means "steel fang."

Attacks

• Shikon shards - Kōga has two shards of the Shikon no Tama in his legs that enhance his speed. (This also makes him a target for Naraku.)
• Whirlwind - He can move so fast that he can create a whirlwind.
• Wolf-tribe leader - He is leader of the wolf yōkai and can call them to help.
