King of Nerike
The Icelandic sagas relate of a number of kings of Nerike who ruled during the mythological past of Scandinavia.
They were:
- Nidud from the saga of Weyland the smith.
- Olof the Sharp-sighted from Heimskringla whose grand-daughter married Ingjald ill-ruler of the House of Yngling.
- Sporsnjall (in Heimskringla) who was invited by Ingjald to a banquet only to be burnt to death inside Ingjald's hall with a number of other kings.
- Olof Trätälja (in Heimskringla), the son of Ingjald who made Nerike his temporary kingdom before being driven away to Wermelandia.
