King of Burundi

Burundi was ruled by a monarch until 1966. The Tutsi monarchy ruled the nation for centuries, but became largely ceremonial with the colonization of the nation by Germany in 1899. The exact dates of the early monarchs is uncertain.

Ntare V Ndizeye: September 1–November 28, 1966
