King K.Rool is a fictional character who appears in a number of video games featuring Donkey Kong. He is an anthropomorphized alligator with an army of Bad Guys, but Donkey Kong or some other member of the Kong Family always foils their plans.
In Donkey Kong Country (1994), for the SNES, he stole Donkey Kong's bananas and was foiled by Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Donkey Kong Land (1995) for the Gameboy had a similar setting.
In Donkey Kong Country 2 (1995) on SNES, King K.Rool, as Kaptain K.Rool, kidnapped Donkey Kong and was foiled by Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong. This also formed the plot of the Gameboy title Donkey Kong Land 2 released in 1996.
In Donkey Kong Country 3 (1996), King K.Rool, as Baron K.Roolenestein, kidnapped Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong but was foiled by Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong. That adventure was repeated in 1997.
In Donkey Kong 64 (1999), for the N64, under his original name, he stole Donkey Kong's bananas again and kidnapped four of Donkey Kong's friends who include Diddy Kong, Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong, and Chunky Kong. However, Donkey Kong rescues his friends and they foil King K.Rool's Plans.
