Kecleon is a chameleon Pokemon of the Normal type. Only in Ruby and Sapphire, it can be found on Routes 118-121 and 123, but some are invisible and require the infamous Devon Scope. The one blocking the gym in Fortree City flees, but the other Kecleons attack you. They are most frequently invisible on Route 120, where you catch Absol.

Kecleon's ability is Color Change, which can change its type depending on the attack it's hit by.

Pokédex description

According to the Pokédex, "KECLEON is capable of changing its body colors at will to blend in with its surroundings. There is one exception - this POKéMON can't change the zigzag pattern on its belly." However, it can easily hide this stripe by covering with its arms, as it can be seen doing in the Kecleon Bonus Stage of Pokémon Pinball. While its invisible, it will use its long, frog-like toungue to steal food or catch its prey.

Anime appearance

Kecleon has appeared in the Pokémon anime. In fact, there were two of them. In the episode "The Kecleon Caper", Reddy and Greeny (due to their colors) used their ability to become invisible to hide from their owners and even escape the blimp in which they were travelling.

Kecleon also appeared in a special episode that wasn't aired out of Japan where it steals a sandwich from Team Rocket's Meowth
