Kathavatthu (Pali), literaly "Points of Controversy", is one of the seven books in the Abhidhamma Pitaka. This work was compiled by the venerable Moggaliputta Tissa, who presided over the Third Council, in order to clarify the points of controversy regarding Dhamma, that have arise between the various Nikaya Buddhism Schools.
