Jorund

Jorund or Eorund was a Swedish king of the house of Scylfing, according to Heimskringla. He was the son of Yngvi, and he had reclaimed the throne of Sweden for his dynasty from Haki.

Jorund passed the summers pillaging in the neighbouring countries. One summer he plundered in Denmark and camped in Oddasund, he was discovered by the Norwegian king Gylaug whose father Gudlaug, Jorund and his brother Erik had hanged.

A great battle ensued, and when the Danes learnt of it they arrived from all directions. Jorund was captured and taken ashore where Gylaug had him hanged.
