Jon Burgstone, a businessman, cofounded SupplierMarket.com in 1999. He sold the startup dotcom company to Ariba 362 days after it was launched, for $1.1 billion USD.
He graduated from Harvard Business School in 1999, after placing second in HBS's "Business Plan Contest" with his SupplierMarket concept.
Currently, he is a visiting professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at the University of California, Berkeley.
