Jacinta Collins

Jacinta Mary Ann Collins (born 4 September 1962), has been an Australian Labor Party member of the Australian Senate since May 1995, representing the state of Victoria. She was born in Melbourne, Victoria, and educated at Monash University and La Trobe University. She was Social Welfare Officer and Research Officer and then National Industrial Officer with the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association before entering politics.

Collins has been a member of the Opposition Shadow Ministry since June 2003. She is Shadow Minister for Children and Youth.
