Itsy Bitsy Spider

Itsy Bitsy Spider (also known as Incy Wincy or Eency Weency Spider) is a popular nursery rhyme which describes the adventures of a spider as it ascends, descends and reascends the spout of a teapot. The lyrics are:

The itsy bitsy (or incy wincy) spider climbed up the water spout

Down came the rain, and washed the spider out

Out came the sun, and dried up all the rain

So the itsy bitsy (or incy wincy) spider climbed up the spout again."

Recitation of the above rhyme is often combined with actions representing the words.
