Ise (伊勢市; -shi), formerly called Ujiyamada, is a city located in Mie prefecture, on the island of Honshu, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 98,819 and the density of 552.15 persons per km&sup2. The total area is 178.97 km².

The city was founded on September 1, 1906.

Ise is the site of the Ise Shrine, the most important Shinto shrine to the goddess Amaterasu.
