Isabella of Cyprus

Isabella of Lusignan was princess of Antioch and regent of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. She was the daughter of Alice of Cyprus and Hugh I of Cyprus, and the sister of Plaisance of Cyprus. She married Henry of Antioch, brother of Bohemund V of Antioch, with whom she had Hugh I of Jerusalem (Hugh III of Cyprus). Plaisance ruled as regent of Jerusalem for her son Hugh II of Cyprus until her death in 1261; Isabella took her place and ruled as regent until 1264 when her own son came of age.
