Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine
Asimov's Science Fiction is a science fiction magazine, first published in 1977 as Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine or IASFM for short.
The magazine was the idea of Joel Davis of Davis Publications, who recruited the well-respected Isaac Asimov as editorial director, and George H. Scithers as editor. It was initially a quarterly magazine, first issue Spring 1977, then changed to bimonthly in 1978, and monthly in 1979.
Gardner Dozois edited the magazine from 1985 to 2004 before stepping down and becoming its Contributing editor. Sheila Williams is the current editor of the magazine.
The magazine was sold to Bantam Doubleday Dell in October 1992, a few months after Asimov's death, and the title changed to Asimov's Science Fiction.
