The Family Association of Australia is currently petitioning the Australian Federal Government to further restrict access by children to pornographic material via the internet. The petition is due for submission in December 2004. Given the outcomes of Censorship in cyberspace it is unlikely that further restrictions on internet usage will have the outcome desired by this conservative organisation, but will, rather, further restrict freedom of other usages of the internet.
