In baseball statistics, inherited runs allowed (denoted by IRA) is a measure of the effectiveness of a relief pitcher who enters a game with runners on base; a pitcher is charged with an inherited runner scored when a player who was on base when he entered the game scores a run while that pitcher is still in the game.
