Hypnagogic hallucination



         


Hypnagogic hallucinations are one symptom of narcolepsy. They consist of auditory, visual, or tactile hallucinations and most frequently occur as the person is falling asleep. The person is aware that this is a hallucination; narcolepsy is a neurological disorder, not a mental illness.
