Hunts Point is a peninsula and a neighborhood in the Bronx borough of New York City. The peninsula extends west from Long Island into a bend of the East River. As a neighborhood, there are about 11,000 residents (in 2003), while rail and shipyard terminals there employ about 16,000 workers.
