Hunters Hill is a suburb of Sydney and the smallest municipality in New South Wales. It is mainly a small peninsula situated between the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers and forms the tip of the peninsula at the joining of its mouth. It is 7 km from the central business district of Sydney and can be reached easily by bus or even by ferry to those who live near the water on the peninsula, though a bus runs from the Valencia Street wharf to the main business area in Gladesville.
The municipality is one of the more upper-class areas of Sydney due to its many heritage-listed buildings and its position near or on the water with its many fine harbour views. It has had many well known residents, some were French and this had got the area being known as the "French Village". It even shares a friendship with a sister city near Paris, Sydney |- | align="center" style="font-size: 90%;" | Eastern Suburbs | Inner West | Northern Beaches | North Shore | Southern Sydney | Western Sydney |- ! align="center" style="font-size: 90%;" | Local Government Areas of Sydney |- | align="center" style="font-size: 80%;" |Cities: |- | align="center" style="font-size: 80%;" |Bankstown | Blacktown | Botany Bay | Campbelltown | Canterbury | Canada Bay | Fairfield | Hurstville | Liverpool | Parramatta | Penrith | Randwick | Rockdale | Ryde | City of Sydney | Willoughby |- | align="center" style="font-size: 80%;" | Councils, municipalities and shires: |- | align="center" style="font-size: 80%;" |Ashfield | Auburn | Baulkham Hills Shire | Burwood | Camden | Concord | Hornsby | Hunter's Hill | Kogarah | Ku-ring-gai | Lane Cove | Leichhardt | Manly | Marrickville | Mosman | North Sydney | Pittwater | Strathfield | Sutherland Shire | Warringah | Waverley | List of Sydney suburbs |}
