Humphry de Bohun



         


Humphry De Bohun, the 7th Baron de Bohun was born during the September of 1249, the son of Humphry De Bohun, the Earl of Hereford and 6th Baron de Bohun by Alianore De Braos. His sister was Lady Mary de Bohun who was married to King Henry IV.

Roger Mortimer's war against the Welsh took a decicive reverse in November 1262 when with Humphry Bohun, he was defeated at Cefnllys, by Llywelyn ap Gruffydd.

Humphry, 7th Baron de Bohun was also the 3rd Earl of Hereford, Earl of Essex, and Constable of all England, he died in Pleshy Castle, in Essex, (England) on the 31st of December, 1297/8.

He married Maud de Fiennes sometime between 1264-1279, Maud was born between 1236-1259, a daughter of Engerrand de Fiennes. She died before 1347.

His son Humphrey suceeded him as the 8th Baron de Bohun and was born in 1276 but was killed in battle at Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports.
