Admiral the Honourable Horace Lambert Alexander Hood (1870-1916) was a young and respected admiral in World War I.

He was the great, great grandson of Admiral Sir Samuel Hood.

Hood joined the Royal Navy in 1883 serving on HMS Temeraire, and HMS Hyacinth. In 1889, as a Midshipman, he served on HMS Calliope during the Samoan Hurricane.

In World War I, Hood took part in the defence of Flanders and the Battle of the Yser. He commanded the Third Battlecruiser Squadron of Sir John Jellicoe's Grand Fleet. Hood died along with all but six of the crew of HMS Invincible when she exploded at the Battle of Jutland.
