Her Majesty's Stationery Office (usually abbreviated as HMSO) is part of the Cabinet Office of the United Kingdom. It is responsible for Crown Copyright, and is the Queen's Printer. It publishes the London Gazette, and all legislation of the United Kingdom.
Prior to 1996, when most of its publishing functions were privatised, it was the publisher of virtually all government material, such as Command Papers, legislation and official histories. The privatised company is known as The Stationery Office.
