Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) is an Indian government-owned aeroplane manufacturing company based in Bangalore, India. It built the first military aircraft constructed in the subcontinent.
The German engineer Kurt Tank designed the HF-24 Marut fighter-bomber, the first military aircraft constructed in India.
