Heves is the name of an administrative county (comitatus or megye) in northern Hungary. The capital of Heves county is Eger.
Heves is also the name of a historic administrative county (comitatus) in northern Hungary, comprising a slightly larger territory than the present Hungarian county Heves. Former parts of Heves county are now in Nógrád, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén counties. The capital of the county was Eger.
