Henry Brooke followed his father to become a Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports under Queen Elizabeth. He was the son of William Brooke.
Henry Brooke Baron Cobham, son of William was however to become implicated in the 'treason of the main' in 1603, his brother George was executed, and he was sent to the Tower of London by James I, in an attempt to obtain the Cobham estates for the Duke of Lennox.
