Harvey Kurtzman (October_3, 1924 - February_21, 1993), U.S. cartoonist and magazine editor. Best known as the first editor of MAD Magazine (then a comic book) in 1952 with William Gaines and creating the magazine's Alfred E. Neuman character; and for the long-running Little Annie Fanny cartoon in Playboy magazine from 1962 to 1988, parodying the very attitudes that Playboy promoted.
He also particpated with Gaines in creating the famous line of EC Comics and was the editor of the war comic Two-Fisted Tales.
