Harpenden is a town in St Albans District, Hertfordshire.
The Rothamsted Experimental Station is located at Harpenden. Stanley Kubrick died there, and football (soccer) commentator John Motson Red Dwarf actor Craig Charles and Arsenal football (soccer) player Lee Dixon all live there currently.
In 1892 Harpenden was the birthplace of the visionary poet Ralph Chubb.
