Hans Island



         


Hans Island is a small, uninhabited island located at the northernmost tip of western Greenland, in the Kennedy Channel between Ellesmere Island and Greenland. The island is disputed between Canada and Denmark. In fact, on March 29, 2004, troops from Denmark landed on Hans Island and planted the Danish flag on what is thought to be Canadian soil.
