Halle is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality comprises the city of Halle proper and the towns of Buizingen and Lembeek. On January 1, 2000 Halle had a total population of 33,655 (16,478 males and 17,177 females). The total area is 45.02 km² which gives a population density of 747.56 inhabitants per km².
The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders).
