Greg"The Bull" Luzinski was born on November 22, 1950 in Chicago, Ill, He spent the majority of his career with the Philadelphia Phillies Of the National League and retired a member of the Chicago White Sox in 1984, fittingly in the city in which he was born.
Luzinski was a beloved member of the Phillies and a prototypical slugger, at 6'1 and 225 pounds he was a rather menacing sight at the plate and hit a number of tape measure shots throughout his career. In his career Luzinski hit .276 with 307 career HR and drove in 1,128 .
To this day he's still a beloved and revered philadelphia sports figure, at the newly opened Citizens bank ball park fans can hope to get a glimpse of the former phillie at his Bar b Que pit named after "The Bull" himself.
