Green Mountains (Vermont)

The Green Mountains are a mountain range in the U.S. state of Vermont. The range extends approximately 250 miles, including, in north-to-south order and among other mountains,

• Jay Peak (3870 feet),
• Mount Mansfield (4393 ft),
• Camels Hump (formerly Camels Rump) (4083 ft),
• the mountains of the northern section of the Green Mountain National Forest, including
  • those of the Presidential Range of Vermont,
• Killington Peak (4235 ft.), and
• those of the southern section of the Green Mountain National Forest, including
  • Glastenbury Mountain (3748 ft.).

This range is traversed by the Long Trail, a wilderness hiking trail (including short stretches of road) that coincides in the southern part of Vermont with the Appalachian Trail.
