In Korea, the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392), also the Wang Dynasty, followed Silla and preceded the Joseon Dynasty, was the ruling dynasty of Goryeo. The founder was Taejo (태조; 太祖) (Wang Geon (왕건; 王__)). The last ruler is Gongyang Wang (공양왕; 恭讓王).
The first twenty-four rulers, except Taejo, have their temple names ending in jong (宗). However, after 1274, the last 9 rulers' titles end in Wang (王).
