Googleplex



         


In mathematics, a googol is the name of the number 10100 (a 1 with 100 zeroes). A googolplex is an even larger number, 1010^100 (a 1 with a googol zeroes).

The popular search engine on the World Wide Web, used a play on the word googol, calling themselves Google . Googleplex is the name of the Google company headquarters, an additional play on the mathematical word.

The abbreviated name of a very powerful computer in The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
