Glory Be to the Father

A prayer of the Rosary, one of the central devotional practices in the Roman Catholic form of the Christian religion. The Glory Be prayer is prayed during the Rosary on the large beads which separate the five sets of ten smaller beads, called decades, upon each of which a Hail Mary is prayed.

The Glory Be is a simple doxology:

Glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be
World without end.
Amen.

Gloria patri et filio et spiritui sancto.
Sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper,
In saecula saeculorum.
Amen.

The wording of the Glory Be is similar to words used in the standard Roman Catholic Mass.
