Gideon Granger



         


Gideon Granger (July 19, 1767December 31, 1822) was an American political leader.

He was a graduate of Yale University, lawyer, member of the Connecticut General Assembly and the New York Senate, as well as U.S. Postmaster General from 1801 until 1814. His son Francis Granger was also later Postmaster General.
