Gibsons is a small costal community located in southwestern British Columbia, Canada on the Strait of Georgia. Approximately one hour from Vancouver and accessible from there only by ferry, the town played host to the long-running CBC television series The Beachcombers. The café portrayed in the show, Molly's Reach, is now a real café and a local attraction. The 4,000-odd residents of Gibsons are employed primarily in tourism and resource-based industries with an emphasis on fisheries and forestry.
