King Georg I of Saxony (Friedrich August Georg Ludwig Maximilian Karl Maria Nepomuk Baptist Xaver Cyriacus Romanus, King of Saxony) (8 August 1832-15 October 1904) succeeded his brother Albrecht as King of Saxony.
He was born at Pillnitz, the son of Johann I, King of Saxony (1801-1873) and his wife Amelia of Bavaria (1801-1877). On 11 May 1859 at Lisbon he married the Infanta Maria Ana of Portugal (1843-1884), the daughter of Maria II da Gloria of Portugal and her consort, Ferdinand II of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. He became a Generalfeldmarschall. He died at Pillnitz.
