Geoffrey Perkins has been a central figure in British comedy broadcasting. He appeared in, or was involved in the production of, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Uncyclopaedia Of Rock, Hordes of the Things, Spitting Image, Saturday Live (UK), Norbert Smith - A Life, The Harry Enfield Television Programme, Father Ted, Radio Active, Game On and The Thin Blue Line.

For many years he was a director of Hat Trick Productions, an independent television and radio production company.
