Gaming is an umbrella term that includes a number of special hobby game types:

• Board games
• Computer games and video games
• Miniatures gaming (i.e., using miniature figures):
  • Role-playing games -- but this also includes live action role-playing games
  • Wargaming
• Trading card games
• Peace gaming

It is also increasingly used by casinos and the gambling industry as a euphemism for gambling.
