George Wayne Goodwin is a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's sixty-eighth House district, including constituents in Richmond and Stanly counties. An attorney from Hamlet, North Carolina, Goodwin is currently (2003-2004 session) serving in his fourth term in the state House. Goodwin is currently campaigning for the position of North Carolina Commissioner of Labor in the North Carolina Council of State election, 2004.
