</table> Fulham Football Club is a football team from Fulham in south-west London. Founded in 1879, they played at the same Craven Cottage ground from 1896 to 2002, when they temporarily left for what was intended to be a complete rebuild of the stadium. Rebuilding plans fell through, and the club decided to convert Craven Cottage to an all-seater and return there for the 2004/05 season. Fulham will stay at Craven Cottage until they build a new ground. They were first promoted to the First Division in 1949. In the mid 1960s Fulham were mainly a bottom half team, without winning any major honours. Although following 1968 two relegations in consecutive seasons at the end of the left them in the 3rd division, they were able to attract famous name players including George Best (1976-1977) and Bobby Moore (1973-1977). Despite an appearance in the 1975 FA Cup final, the club lost its way in the latter part of the 70s, ending up at the very lowest depths of the football league. Since the mid 90s, however, with the backing of multi-millionaire Mohammed Al-Fayed, and the recent guidance of Jean Tigana Fulham has risen back through the divisions, and being promoted to the FA Premier league, the top division of English football, for the 2001/02 season. It was announced that Tigana's contract would not be renewed towards the end of the 2002/2003 season, and the team were subsequently managed by former club captain, Chris Coleman. Over recent years Fulham have had shirt sponsorship deals from Deamon Internet, Pizza Hut, the online betting exchange Betfair and dabs.com. Johnny Haynes played more games for Fulham than any other player.| Pld | : | 3434 |
