Frovatriptan (Frova®) is a triptandrug developed by Elan Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of migraineheadaches. It is available as 2.5 mg tablets.
Frovatriptan has mean terminal elimination half-life of approximately 26 hours, which is substantially longer than for other triptans, so it is sometimes prescribed for preventative treatment of chronic migraine headaches.
