Flash Thompson
Eugene "Flash" Thompson is a comic book character in the Marvel Comics universe, part of the supporting cast of Spider-Man. He was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Thompson was a high school contemporary of Peter Parker (Spider-Man's alter-ego) and was generally portrayed as a bully and a jock towards Parker in the early years. However, over time Thompson matured and mellowed and became friends with Parker.
Thompson has had relationships with several of Spider-Man's girlfriends. He was once romantically involved with Parker's current wife Mary Jane Watson. He has also had affairs with Betty Brant and Felicia Hardy (The Black Cat).
He was once accused of being the supervillain The Hobgoblin, though he was later acquitted.
In the 2002 film Spider-Man Thompson was played by Joe Manganiello.
In Ultimate Spider-Man, there is an Ultimate Marvel version of the character who is still a jock and bullies the Ultimate counterpart of Parker.
