The FIRST LEGO League is a competition for middle school students. FIRST LEGO League teams use LEGO Mindstorms kits to build small robots that will traverse LEGO playing fields and complete given tasks. The organization is a partnership between FIRST and the LEGO Company.
Students build their robot in 8 weeks. They go on to compete in FLL events, similar to FIRST Robotics Competition regionals.
