Ferrous oxide



         


Iron (II) oxide, is the element iron in the oxidation state of 2, and consists of iron bonded to oxygen. It's chemical formula is FeO.

Iron (II) oxide reacts with aluminum to form Aluminum oxide and Iron. This reaction creates enough heat to melt iron.
