Fairfield University is a private, co-educational university in the United States founded by the Society of Jesus in 1942, one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Located in suburban Fairfield, Connecticut, over 3,100 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students study in one of four schools and colleges: arts and sciences, business, nursing and engineering.

Fairfield University is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference or MAAC and is classified as Division 1-AAA in the National Collegiate Athletic Association for its athletic programs.
